#221: Holy Spirit, Bring on the Fruit! Week 8: Gentleness (Feat. McKenzie Reaume)

Crazy Cool Family - A podcast by Don and Suzanne Manning - Wednesdays

“There is a strategy around being gentle and it can bring a lot of peace into your home.” - McKenzie  McKenzie, our 4th child, joins the podcast as the CCF Team continues to share how we walk with the Holy Spirit and live a life full of HIS FRUIT!   Today, we unpack gentleness. Our definition of gentleness is...  Treating people with care and compassion. Proverbs 16:24 says, "gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones." Ephesians 4:1-3 says, "I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace." Here are a few takeaways from the episode:  Gentleness and humility are linked, they go hand in hand in our life   Repentance is a sign of having a gentle heart  Gentleness is overlooked because it causes us to go low and put others higher McKenzie shares several powerful tips on how to live a life of gentleness. She talks about how curiosity is tied to gentleness. She often asks herself, “where is this person coming from?” It has helped her cover her heart and relationships with gentleness.   The goal is to overflow with gentleness. When we walk with the Holy Spirit, we are invited to treat others with gentleness. He continually gives us chances to be gentle instead of harsh or judgmental.  Are you gentle? Do you see God as gentle? McKenzie also speaks to the character of God and how his voice is gentle. She shares how over the years she has learned how to hear God and see Him as gentle. There is a distinction between the voice of God and the voice of the enemy, often it is distinguished by gentleness. Listen and share this inspirational truth today!   This podcast is for you if you want to walk in gentleness and if you want to see God as a gentle God.      Want MORE resources?  Join Basecamp Here!
