Lecture in Progress is an online resource that inspires and informs the next generation of creatives by providing practical insight and advice into the day to day industry. This podcast series features creatives sharing what they do and how they got to where they are. Our guest this week is Franki Goodwin and was recorded in August 2017 at an event hosted by ADCAN. Franki has been a creative director at advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi since 2013, alongside working as an executive producer at her own company Western Edge Pictures, a film production and development studio. Having graduated from Glasgow School of Art with a degree in visual communication in 1999, she soon found herself working in marketing for feature films – coming up with creative ways to build interest around new releases. Starting out at a time when creating a website was still considered something of a risk, Frankie has carved out a unique role in the industry, which has grown with the rise of online culture and marketing. Now heavily involved in the wider world of advertising, she talks to us about how her two roles complement each other, her experience of founding her own companies and where it all began.  See the full article here: https://lectureinprogress.com/journal/franki-goodwin The Lecture in Progress podcast is presented by Will Hudson, the guest was interviewed by Indi Davies and the producer was Ivor Manly.
