Episode 5 Jenny Hood (Corvid Eyes)

After a short break we are back with a new Creative Me Podcast episode featuring artist Jenny Hood. I first met Jenny back in 2016 and not 2006 as I clumsily state in the intro. We talk about the Sustaining Life As A Creative Programme we participated in with the Creative Learning Team and it’s long lasting positive effects on us both as creatives. We also delved into a discussion of how insects and animals have quite a unique impact on our day to day lives, being your own worst critic and learning to becoming more confident with your skills and abilities as a creative and embracing criticism both good and bad. It also wouldn’t be a Creative Me Podcast if Ica didn’t get on to his social commentary box as we also speak about the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements and the responsibilities an artist has to discuss or reflect on such issues through their work. It was a great catch up with Jenny as she’s a huge talent and I’m looking forward to seeing her do her thing throughout 2018.
