16. MMIW: Jennifer Catcheway

Jennifer Catcheway was last seen on her 18th birthday: June 19th, 2008. After leaving a note for her parents, and calling them days later to let them know that she would see them soon to celebrate her birthday with them... Jennifer was never seen again. Witnesses, as well as members of their extended family, placed Jennifer with her older uncle and cousin on the day she was last seen. Thirteen years later, not a single trace of Jennifer Catcheway has ever been found. Witness tips have lead her family on hundreds of searches across Manitoba, but still, they have been unable to bring Jennifer home. Jennifer Catcheway is one of far too many Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women in Canada.
