A mystery caller, leads to murder

The year is 1931, and a man named William Herbert Wallace has just returned home to find his house bolted from the inside.This was odd, as his wife was supposed to be home.After eventually managing to get in, he discovers a brutal scene: his wife has been murdered.Once the police arrive and start to take Mr Wallace's account of what happened that evening, suspicion quickly turns to him.
