Teen Girl Sex Trafficked From Bathroom Break at Maverick's Game With Dad

Crime Stories with Nancy Grace - A podcast by iHeartPodcasts and CrimeOnline

A 15-year-old girl has a date night with her Dad attending a Mavericks game. She takes a bathroom break near half-time and never returns. The teen’s father alerts security and police that his daughter had gone missing, and is told that authorities cant help because state law requires law enforcement to classify missing juveniles as runaways unless there is evidence that they are missing involuntarily, such as by kidnapping.  The teen’s parents ask the Texas Counter-Trafficking Initiative for help in locating the teen, and within hours, the group finds explicit images of the girl on a prostitution website in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. A review of video surveillance shows the girl leaving the arena with two men. The teen was missing for 11 days but was ultimately rescued from an Extended Stay America  200 miles away from her home.    Joining Nancy Grace today: JB Rice - Executive Director, Texas Counter-Trafficking Initiative, TXTCI.org, Facebook: @TXCTI Zeke Fortenberry - Victim's Family Attorney, Founding Attorney, Fortenberry Firm PLLC (Dallas, TX), Former Assistant District Attorney (Collin County), Fortenberryfirm.com,  Twitter: @FortenberryFirm, Facebook: @FortenberryFirmPLLC  Dr. Shari Schwartz - Forensic Psychologist (specializing in Capital Mitigation and Victim Advocacy), www.panthermitigation.com, Twitter: https://twitter.com/TrialDoc, Author: "Criminal Behavior" and "Where Law and Psychology Intersect: Issues in Legal Psychology"  Greg Smith - Special Deputy Sheriff, Johnson County Sheriff's Office (Kansas),  Executive Director of the Kelsey Smith Foundation, www.kelseysarmy.com    Rania Mankarious - CEO, Crime Stoppers of Houston, Author: "The Online World, What You Think You Know and What You Don’t: 4 Critical Tools for Navigating the Digital Age", Crime-Stoppers.org, RaniaMankarious.com, Instagram/Twitter: @TheRaniaReport    Alexis Tereszcuk - CrimeOnline.com Investigative Reporter, Writer/Fact Checker, Lead Stories dot Com, Twitter: @swimmie2009  See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
