Suspected hitman Trevor Byrne had to be protected in hospital recently after he was taken for treatment from prison where he is serving a 17 and a half year sentence for firearms offences.The 43 year old who Gardai believe was involved in the murder of The Monk’s brother Eddie Hutch was deemed a security risk should any of his rivals try to target him as he recovered.Nicola speaks with Niall Donald about Byrne and his chaotic life as a suspected hitman for hire.
