Danceable Tangos of the Year - A podcast by Balazs Gyenis

Episode 23 is Part 4/4 covering the year 1940. In terms of the number of great danceable tangos that we omitted for the year 1940 probably the orchestra of Francisco Canaro got most unfairly treated; listeners are encouraged to check out his works, especially instrumentals and those with the singers Ernesto Fama and Francisco Amor from this year. We start this episode with a perhaps less known yet great piece of Canaro, "Tan sólo tú," with singer Mirna Mores. We then continue with tangos of Carlos Di Sarli with Roberto Rufino, valses from Edgardo Donato, Orchestra Típica Victor, and Francisco Lomuto, tangos of Enrique Rodriguez (with Armando Moreno), Rodolfo Biagi, Edgardo Donato, Osvaldo Fresedo and Francisco Lomuto. We close the year with a foxtrot befitting a blogcast series that airs from Budapest from Enrique Rodriguez, "Amor en Budapest".
