MAINE/MASSACHUSETTS MURDER, 1971: The body of a young woman found in the woods of Wells, Maine on January 9, 1971 remained unidentified for over a month as detectives searched for clues as to who she was and how she got there. Maine newspapers stopped reporting on the Jane Doe after her funeral the same year, but I couldn't let it go. With the help of a Dark Downeast listener and a box of his late father's things, I learned the name of that young woman. I could finally tell her story. This is the case of a young woman's life brutally taken and the search for her killer. This is the case of Constance Corcione: The Bragdon Road Jane Doe. For episode sources, visit darkdowneast.com.
