Josh and CM got the opportunity recently to sit down with Filmmaker, Ian Klink. Ian was the recipient of a “Dollar Baby” for “The Man Who Would Not Shake Hands”. Join us as we discuss where his Stephen King fandom began, his passion for filmmaking, what the Dollar Baby process is like, the challenges of an adaptation, and what the process taught him. Enjoy as Derry Public Radio interviews Ian Klink. Ian Klink was born in Camanche, Iowa and grew up in several cities from river to river in Iowa. After graduating in 2003 from North Scott High School in Eldridge, Iowa he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Aurora University and his Master of Arts in Film and Television from Savannah College of Art and Design. As a filmmaker and artist, he has directed films and theatre, many throughout the Quad City area, including his thesis film adaption of Stephen King’s ‘The Man Who Would Not Shake Hands’ and recently ‘No Exit’ on stage. Currently he is filming the feature film ‘Any Woman’s Blues.’ Klink shares his talents as a teacher of digital media design and film and video production at MOT Charter High School in Middletown, Delaware.
