My guest today is Gino D’AcampoBorn into a large family in Napoli in the South of Italy – he came to London at the age of 19 back in 1995. You may know him from his regular appearances on This Morning where he cooks up a storm, or perhaps from his early days on Ready Steady Cook. He’s a TV regular, a best selling author and a successful restaurauteur. He has written over 16 cookbooks, holds six Guiness world records (one of them is for walking on custard) and he was crowned King of the Jungle in the 9th series of I’m a Celebrity Get me out of here.Gino is often described as the UK’s favourite Italian chef. He has over 40 restaurants in the UK and he’s currently got 3 television series on our screens at the moment alone. He’s just published a new book Gino’s Italian Adriatic Escape. I thought I knew Gino from watching him cook on TV but I learnt so much about him in this episode and finding out about how he got to where he is today was so much fun, not least discovering that he was George Michael's private chef! Which is very cool.Oh and pasta for breakfast is going to be a thing! You heard it here first...The Margie - cannot even tell you how my dreams would come true to have a pasta dish named after me!You can find a copy of Gino’s new book here: (https://amzn.to/2QX1PwW)If you’re listening and you haven’t yet left a review – now’s your chance!
