On January 7, 1996, a historic blizzard hit eastern New York, covering the area with over two feet of snow. That evening, Thomas Dorr Sr., a volunteer firefighter, received a call asking him to come to the station and help with any emergencies that might occur. Tom agreed to go, but he never showed up. The next day, several firefighters went searching for Tom. They soon discovered his body in a park close to his home. He’d been brutally murdered shortly after responding to the fire station call. For years, it seemed like Tom’s case had gone cold. But then, in 2001, police announced that they had identified two suspects. Unfortunately, those people have never been arrested, and Tom’s case still remains unsolved... Anyone with information in Tom’s case is asked to call the Westchester County police at 914-864-7700.
