IN OCTOBER 1997, BBC Books achieved something that their predecessors at Virgin had been unable to achieve with the New and Missing Adventures - an original novel with the Daleks. Written by John Peel, a friend of Dalek creator Terry Nation, it saw the Eighth Doctor, Sam, Davros, Thals, Movellans and Daleks all feature.
