On this episode of Drawing Over Discussions Tai sits down with Awol One, an indie hip-hop artist and graphic designer out of East L.A. who Tai has legitimately been a massive fan of for nearly 20 years now. Awol One seemingly creates nonstop, with over 20 albums on his discography, he doesn't appear to be slowing down anytime soon. The dude is a music machine. We love it. On this episode Tai & Awol One discuss Awol's Beetlejuice fandom, some of his favorite visual artists, skateboarding, screenprinting, tattoos, and money management. They also discover if Awol One has the ability to save your life if you were choking in front of him. They really run the gamut on this episode & we learn about an upcoming craft beer collaboration between Hip Hop Craft, a beer brewer in LA and The Cloaks, which is a hip-hop duo that is Awol One and Gel Roc. They’re releasing a new IPA called "The Cloakwork Orange," in conjunction with The Cloaks new album. The link to the new album will be on a QR Code on the beer label itself, which is an all-around brilliant idea. Tai mentioned in a discussion with Cas-one on a previous DOD45 episode, that Awol One is one of his all-time favorite emcees possessing the nomenclature "One" in his name.
