Holy Smokes it’s episode 80 already! Yay! Episode 80 is a pretty cool milestone. It’s nowhere near as many as a lot of our contemporary podcasts, but it’s also nothing to slouch at. What does it matter, we’re here! And boy am I glad to be here and very excited to share with you our guests for this episode 80 of the DOD45 Show. Our guests on this episode are Slugghead. Brother and Sister duo, Nalei & Soul Taeoalii. Hmmmm. That last names sounds familiar doesn’t it? It should, because that’s our last name and you guessed it, they’re our kids. We’re not having’em on cuz they’re our children though, cuz that would be lame, were having’em on because they have an album coming out on Dec. 29th and they’re performing it live for their album release show on December 28th at The Beehive venue inside of Mark of the Beastro in Salt Lake City, UT. Soul & Nalei join us to discuss their music, their upcoming show and where their inspirations to create, what they call, avant grade music. We realize how bizarre it is to have our children on our podcast to talk about their music, but when you see and hear these two, you’ll realize that “bizarre” equals comfort zone. They have been traveling with us to art shows all across the world since the day they were born and they’ve been witness to more things than most people in the back nine of their lives, so we talk about some of their first & favorite concerts they went, they’re beginnings as musicians and they also have the chance to air their grievances with how we raised them and dragged them all across the country for art shows. It’s a quick episode and I think you’ll be surprised just how fun our conversation is and I also think when you get just a taste of their music you’re going to wish you lived in Utah so you could attend their show on the 28th. For those of you who are in Salt Lake, clear your schedule, get your best costume or night attire together cuz you’ve got an album release party to attend to.
