Dr. John Cline is a professor at the University of Texas at Austin who teaches Mechanical Engineers how to develop their communication skills inside and outside the classroom. He is also the co-founder of The Mechanical Pencil, which is a company that offers writing consultant services to Engineers and other STEM professionals. Dr. Cline has a Bachelor's degree in English & Philosophy from the University of Iowa, a Master's degree in American Studies from the University of Virginia, and a Ph.D. in American Studies from The University of Texas at Austin. In the past, Dr. Cline has also led students to study abroad programs in Chile.
