1946-1948  The Return of Cajun Music After World War II, soldiers returning home wanted to hear the music of their youth. While the output of recorded Cajun music in the early 1940's was slim; by 1946 Cajun music returned by way of the birth of independent labels. Among those were Bill Quinn's Gold Star, JD Miller's Fais -Do -Do, Bennie Hess's Opera, and Eddie Shuler's Goldband and Folk-Star label.
