032: PUSH Goals

Goal setting has been my main focus of the last several months especially as many people struggle with being consistent with their goals. I have a strategy for goal setting called PUSH. Many coaches and influencers reference PUSH goals as it first began from Chalene Johnson, but I have created my very own acronym for what PUSH means. A push goal is a goal that once completed will drastically impact your life + help you achieve your other goals. Like a domino effect in a good way :-) I had a dream to write a book for years, but never went through with it because I let fear stop me. I also never went through with it because I allowed obstacles to be my guide. Not anymore. I pushed past those things and ultimately it changed my life literally. Therefore my goal is to do the same for my clients. When I work with my clients one on one I always have them set goals. They usually set comfortable or familiar goals because that is what we are programmed to do. I have to teach my clients to step out of their comfort zone and set PUSH goals. To me, a PUSH goal is a goal that is pushing you out of your comfort zone and into the zone where success lies. Those familiar goals are not benefitting us one bit. What good is it for me to set a goal running a 1.1 miles a day if I already am running 1 mile a day. We have to set BIG goals. There are too many people not operating or using their gifts. I don’t want that for you. Your story along with your gift has the potential to change lives so we have no more time to waste. So in this episode, I will share what a PUSH goal is and more importantly how you can have success in creating your own PUSH goals.
