Early Years Scotland Podcast - A podcast by Early Years Scotland

Categories:

Autism expert Jim Taylor joins us as the first guest on the Early Years Scotland Podcast, hosted by Head of Professional Learning and Quality Assurance Michele Doull.   As one of the very first teachers in Scotland and the UK to work exclusively with pupils with Autism, Jim was closely involved in the early pioneering work, in the 1970s and 80s, in adapting educational thinking and teaching methods to the specific needs of children with Autism. Parents, professionals and young people with Autism themselves, credit him with supporting and enabling them to realise their full potential.   A 37 year career in Education and in the field of Autism has led to Jim having a wide range of experience, from teaching children with Autism from preschool age right through to the transition into adulthood. He has also a wide range of experience in working with Services providing support to Adults. Jim has seen how significant progress can be made when positive, meaningful partnerships are made with individuals, families and professionals.   For more information on Jim Taylor visit jimtaylorknowsautism.com    Visit our website at earlyyearsscotland.org   If you have any questions, or suggestions for future guests, please email [email protected]   Thanks for listening!
