Today’s epic episode of Electronically Yours features, without doubt, one of the most influential proto-punk artists; Martin Rev.  His provocative and game-changing work as half of the truly exceptional New York band Suicide was unique, and influenced a huge number of electronic pop bands. Their’s was a glimpse of the future as ‘no future’ in the 70’s, totally unclassifiable and inspired a huge number of musicians, from Throbbing Gristle and Cabaret Voltaire, to early Human League and OMD. Suicide’s transgressive live shows were the stuff of unforgettable legend.
