Episode 39 features a guest mix from Sydney based DJ/Producer VERSIONS part of the legendary Airbourne crew. Versions aka Sydney DJ Guy became part of the Airbourne crew in the 2000s, Guy played gigs of all shapes and sizes in Sydney, Hong Kong and London including supporting the likes of D-Bridge, Breakage, Friction, Marky, Patife, and many more. 2018 saw a move into production under the alias Versions. 2020 saw the first release for Versions with a remix of Sydney dnb don A.L.F's (RIP) track 'Jubby'. Further releases are pencilled in for 2021 and beyond, with support growing across the scene, especially in Europe and the UK. This mix features multiple new bits from the producer, keep your eyes peeled for release info this year. A veteran of the Sydney dance music scene, DJ YoungJase was a name synonymous with Sydney club culture in the 90's and early 00's. Having crafted his skills in the days of acid house in the late 80's, Young Jase began his DJ internship in the early 90's rave days, creating a name for himself with a diverse mix of house/ techno. By the mid nineties Jase could be found at nearly every club and party in Sydney, and a regular fixture a legendary events such as Love, Film Flam, Fuzzy presents. & Tweekin'. Always pushing new sounds he was a key figure in the progressive house boom in the late 90's, and had developed a following as a unique risk taking DJ. He has supported many top international DJs including; Sasha, John Digweed, Danny Tenaglia, Nick Warren, Henry Saiz & Basement Jaxx to name a few. In the mid 90's he fell in love with Drum N Bass, and, under the moniker DJ Pappa Jase, was the resident & co founder of the legendary Sydney drum n bass night "BassCode". The club was instrumental in shaping the drum n bass scene as it is today, and Pappa Jase was a pioneer of the genre known today as 'liquid drum n bass', supporting the like of Roni Size, LTJ Bukem, Marcus Intalex(RIP) & Seba. Young Jase had semi retired by 2008, however still DJs under the moniker JYSN, and hosts a regular podcast "Earthtones" focusing on the deep organic ethereal house sounds, in the vibe of All Day I Dream, The Soundgarden, Nordic Voyage etc. Music is life.
