Today’s episode is all about what it really takes to create emotional freedom.    I talk a lot about emotional freedom because I believe it’s the foundation of happiness and success AND it's possible for anyone. Yes, anyone.    If we/or our children do not have the tools and roles models to guide them towards feeling in control of their big emotions (anger, anxiety, fear and negative thoughts) they/we will not know how to overcome them — unless they learn themselves.    Having a professional background in mental health I’ve witnessed people from all walks of life overcome adversity. So what makes them so resilient?    Simple answer: Their lifestyle and their relationship to vulnerability and emotion.    In this episode, I discuss:    How to start feeling in control of your big emotions on a moment by moment basis.  Why we get stuck in a label and diagnosis and feel like a victim.  Why I stopped drinking coffee - even though it’s my favourite drink ever.  My new meditation practice and how it has evolved over the years.    Your In Control Action Step for today:    Pay attention to how to feel after you eat certain things, what time you go to bed, who you hang around with, your thoughts. How much screen time you have.  Write it down in a journal and also write down the emotion that shows up when doing these activities.    Warmly,  Heather    P.S.
