Eclipses are fairly rare, but nothing really fantastical or magical about them, just scientific. But that doesn’t mean you can’t use it as a cool motivator in movies. We look back at movies where an eclipse played an important role. The moon will be covering the sun today, but after it’s over you’ll be able to enjoy other covers. Musicians often cover other artists' songs. And sometimes their version ends up being more popular than the original. We look at a few legendary ones. But what could be more legendary than the best cover artist of them all; Weird Al Yankovic? Not all of Al’s songs are covers, but the parodies that are are excellent. Some are even better than the one they are parodying. Are you in the path of totality? What are you covering today? First person that emails me with the subject line, “Never gonna give you up” will get a special mention on the show. Let us know.
