Enneagram & Coffee - A podcast by Cloud10

Holy Ideas   In this 67th episode of Enneagram & Coffee, host Sarajane Case talks about the concept of Holy Ideas. She discusses the 9 Enneagram types in this world, their fixations, and mindfulness exercises (Holy Ideas) to counter those fixations!   Episode Highlights:    A plethora of factors have caused Sarajane to stop posting podcasts for a while Holy ideas are what we are when we release that attachment to earning, love, and okayness Holy ideas can act as a counterpose, like yoga, to our structure, allowing us to stretch those parts of our being that often get ignored Type-1 focuses on everything being perfect and can lead to burnout in pursuit of that perfection Holy Perfection is the idea that everything is perfect because that’s just the way it is Type-2s become fixated on giving to receive love or be liked, which can lead to disappointment and overworking Holy Will is the acceptance of the concept that goodness will come naturally and you don’t have to make that happen Forcing yourself to take care of yourself is one of the best ways to counter a love vacuum Type-3s feel the need to appear successful and can lead to self-neglect and self-ignorance Holy Law is the idea that individual achievement does not exist and focuses on glorifying things that are greater than one person Ask yourself if you would do something if you are okay with it going unseen Type-4s focus on what is missing and can cause dissatisfaction with what does exist and a constant search for outside meaning Holy Origin is the acceptance that our existence is enough and we are what we are, which is good Type-5s are fixated on the idea that they do not have enough which leads to a lack of connection brought on by over strategizing life Holy Omnitiants allow us to accept that life has provided us with everything that we need Type-6s prepare themselves for all scenarios and that can bring on undue stress and worry Holy Faith helps people accept the present moment for what it is and what is within their scope of control Type-7s become fixated on planning which can cause a constant search for happiness in the future Holy Plan is the acceptance that everything is meant to be, thus ridding the need to make your own plans Type-8s aim to rebalance wrongs in a search for justice which can cause rage and lack of ability to forgive and trust Holy Truth allows people to let go of the state of resistance and allow life to unfold as it will Type-9s tend to ignore their feelings and step back in those moments when they should be stepping forward Holy Love brings back that connection to the idea that without you, the universe wouldn’t exist how it’s supposed to   3 Key Points: The Holy Idea for Type-1s is Holy Perfection or the idea that everything is perfect because it is. It’s easy to look around a room and see everything that is missing, but that is a mindset choice that we all must make. As long as one remains fixated on the future, they will never find happiness and satisfaction in the present moment.   Tweetable Quotes:   “Our Enneagram type is who we felt like we had to become in order to survive in the world.” - Sarajane Case “A love vacuum: a lot of love is going out and you’re not meeting your own needs. Other people aren’t trying to read your mind or meet your needs for you so...you’re being sucked dry.” - Sarajane Case “Show yourself what’s possible when you aren’t forcing action.” - Sarajane Case “We get to bring goodness into the world through something larger than ourselves.” - Sarajane Case Resources Mentioned:   Facets of Unity (book) Learn more about your ad choices.
