While these are stressful times felt by so many concurrently, stress is something that we face throughout our lives. Especially as horse owners and caregivers, we take on both the worry for our families and ourselves but also our equine partners. As we continue into another month of dealing with the COVID 19 crisis, anxiety and stress over this situation is setting in for more and more people. The uncertainty of our times, the thought it could last for months yet, it's all hard to deal with. Today is dedicated to ways we ourselves and others in this industry have chosen to help them through stressful times. It will be relevant for what we are coping with during this crisis but also to take forward into the future when we are back in the show arena. Our guests today are: Sara Vold of Arrow Equine - http://www.arrowequine.ca Brigitte Meyer of Vitality Equine - https://www.vitalityequine.com Becky Denny of Whispering Equine Bodyworks - https://www.whisperingequinebodyworks.com Links shared by Brigitte are: 1- Mental Performance Coach Laura Leffelaar at Novus Global Laura Leffelaar is a coach with Novus Global, an elite executive coaching firm working with high performing people who want to create new results for themselves and/or their career. Vitality Equine is hosting her for a webinar on May 1st, if anyone is interested in learning more about the benefits of a mental performance coach…. honestly she is amazing. https://www.vitalityequine.com/webinars 2- Gratitude Practice This is an amazing exercise that I learned from my friend Sarah Mackenzie, who studied optimism. By writing down what you are grateful for, and the “WHY” behind what you are grateful for, it allows you to connect the ownership you have between all the good you have in your life and your actions…and in turn contributes to your daily, weekly, and monthly practice of optimism and gratitude. 1. Write down one thing you are grateful for. 2. Why did this happen? 3. What does it mean to you? 4. How can you have more of this in the future. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
