This is the second part of a three-part look at the geopolitical tensions between Russia and Ukraine through the lens of the Eurovision Song Contest. Phil Dore picks up the story in 2017 when the Contest moved to Kyiv. Both Russia in 2017 and Ukraine in 2019 managed to kick themselves out of the Contest before the show even begins.
