Two previously unknown Bach organ pieces, performed for the first time in 320 years, were discovered by musicologist Peter Wollny. The works, believed to be by Bach, were performed at Saint Thomas Church in Leipzig, with Ton Koopman on organ. Wollny identified the scribe as Salomon Günther John, a Bach pupil, and the Bach Archive continues to uncover new treasures, including a significant donation from New York collector Elias Kulukundis. The Daily News Now! — Every city.
