In this episode I interview Chad Faulkner about his book Original Strengh for the Tactical Athlete. Chad retired in the fall of 2017 with 20 years of service in the United States Army. He started his career in October of 1997 enlisting as an Infantryman. He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 82nd Airborne Division. He served as a regular infantryman and as a sniper in a scout platoon during his time there. The 82nd is where Chad first started his leadership experience serving as a Fire Team Leader, Squad Leader, Weapons Squad Leader and some limited time as a Platoon Sergeant. In 2006, Chad made the transition to Special Operations Civil Affairs to broaden his skillset and try something new. It was a also a better situation as a single parent. During his time in Civil Affairs he was a Team Sergeant, Instructor at the Qualification Course and First Sergeant. From there he finished out his career assessing future technology for U.S. Army Special Operations Command. Chad is currently Owner/ Operator at Chad Ray Coaching and Consulting as well as plank-owner and contributing author to the American Warrior Society website. -Original Strength for the Tactical Athlete Original Strength for the Tactical Athlete presents the basic concepts behind the Original Strength System and applies them towards the life of a Tactical Athlete with the goal of allowing them to live their lives to their fullest potential.
