Susan is a composer (MA in music) who uses nature and science to guide her visions and art. She has translated the frequencies of black holes, atomic elements, pulsars, water and DNA chemistry into sound to create arresting art pieces, often in collaboration with other artists. Her work is internationally known: London, Oslo, Budapest, Vienna, Heidelberg and Quebec, and the USA. The central theme for her is the interconnectedness of the Universe through resonance and the beauty found there. Where will it show up? What are our shared, universal stories? Her background includes university-level teaching and commissions for acoustic music composition. Residencies at The Banff Center in Canada and Playa in Oregon have supported her work. She lives and plays in Sonoma County, CA.
