Check out my health protocols here >> Dr. Joe Dispenza came on the show today to talk about a myriad of issues about how to change our life and break bad habits that keep us stuck in old ways of living. For those that don't know he's the author of You Are the Placebo: Making Your Mind Matter as well as a book from a few years ago called Breaking The Habit of Being Yourself: How to Lose Your Mind and Create a New One. If you've been a listener for a long time to our show we talk a lot about health from a physical standpoint. And yes the physical aspect of health cannot be ignored. You need to do exercise every single day, you need to avoid eating sugar, gluten and maybe even dairy. Process foods loaded with hormones and chemicals have to be minimized by a significant degree. But if you really want to get into radical health, eventually you're going to start digging deeper and deeper into the rabbit hole that will lead you to two things: * Emotions (stress, anger, depression, fear, love etc) * and * Spirituality If you really want to get to the core of true healing, it's going to be something energetic, emotional or spiritual (in my humble opinion of having spoken to hundreds of leading health researchers over the years). You simply cannot have a strong foundation for living a long healthy disease free life if you do not address the mental, emotional and spiritual sides of life. So we talked about the placebo affect and how our brains and emotions actually have a measurable affect on our biology and physiology. Can we really heal diseases through the power of the mind? Can we change our personality in a major noticeable way? Can we really become different people? I thought we were hard wired by our genetics.
