[include file=get-in-itunes.html]Today we talked about taking chances in your life and taking that leap of faith you've always wanted to pursue but were too scared to. This is something that Kate and I know a lot about. Taking a risk and doing something new is not only risky but very scary also. What happens if you fail? What happens if people think you're strange or you've lost it? What if you run the risk of rejection from your friends and family? The thing I think about is why do we even care what people think of us? Where did we get the idea that their opinion of us is more valuable than our opinion of ourselves? Why do we let what others think about us change how we live our lives? These are all interesting questions. Personally I think way too many people waste their hidden talents and unique abilities to inspire and help people on simply making money for corporations. I'm not saying this is wrong in any way, I'm just saying that there potentially could be millions of people around the world who could benefit from whatever it is you have to offer. For me taking a risk was doing this radio show. I had a desire to do something like this and had a hunch I might be able to do a decent job at it so I went for it. I saved up and saved up and finally bought thousands of dollars of equipment to start Extreme Health Radio without even knowing if I would like it. Talk about risky. Now Kate and I are faced with another risk that perhaps we'll talk about in the next episode. It's a very scary risk but something we think we have to do. We'll talk about that in future episodes. We also talked about the many benefits and difficulties of juice fasting, or as some people call it juice feasting. We talked about how Kate is currently doing only a 3 day juice cleanse and we talked about her food cravings and why she's doing the juice cleanse in the first place. Juice cleansing is a great way to reset your body to crave different types of foods. Drew Canole from Fitlife.tv has coined the term Alpha Reset which I think is interesting. I've never done a juice fast in all my years of being involved in health. I surmise it would be extremely difficult for the first few days because we're so addicted to having a full stomach. When our bellies are empty and we're only feeding it food with no fiber full of enzymes, minerals and vitamins we miss that "full feeling" in our stomachs. From what I hear after the third day you start to sail along pretty nicely and don't have major food cravings at all. Since I don't want to lose any weight (currently I'm about 6 feet tall and weigh about 170 pounds) I don't think I'll do a juice cleanse anytime soon. Then we talked about one of the biggest stories going around the internet today, the double mastectomy that actress Angelina Jolie had. In the show I talked about 3 points I don't think anybody is talking about. First of all I question whether or not she actually had the procedure done in the first place. Think about it, how would we ever know? The media and the FDA and the entire medical industry has a long history of lies and deception. Do you think it's somehow past them to pay Angelina Jolie millions of dollars in order to sway public opinion to say she had a double mastectomy she never had? I think it's entirely possible. Now if you take the opinion that she actually DID have the procedure done, what if she is diagnosed with breast cancer in 5 or 10 years from now? What happens then? Do you think they would release that information to the public when it would clearly shed a very bad light on the whole idea of preventative surgeries for cancer.
