Hufty runs the ⁠West End Women and Girls Centre⁠ in Newcastle. The first and only open access women and girls centre in the North East. Their aim is to build the power of women and girls who have been disenfranchised. Through group work, women and girls are given the opportunity to learn valuable life skills, meet others and have fun. In this episode Huffty and Gill cover: Discussing how it all began, and where the idea to create the centre came from.  How other cultures within the community of Elswick had an amazing impact on the centre, allowing it to become multicultural.
