Paula Enei is the Partner and co-founder of Platanus Ventures (PV), an early-stage startup accelerator created by technology entrepreneurs and supported by Cornershop and Fintual. PV is heavily inspired by Y Combinator and aims to create an alternative to YC in LatAm. Currently, Platanus Ventures offers an investment of USD $100,000 in exchange for a 7% stake in the startup, a 3-month mentorship program by successful digital product entrepreneurs, and the possibility of raising capital on Demo Day, which marks the end of each generation. PV was founded in 2020 with the purpose of discovering and creating more high-impact digital companies in LatAm. It has invested in 63 early-stage digital startups throughout the region and plans to invest in 100 more by 2024. Their portfolio includes startups such as Examedi, Fintoc, Toku, Plutto, and more. The investors include notable founders such as aCornershop, Fintual, Xepelin, Houm and NotCo. Previously Paula was leading the acceleration and internalization area at the first government-run accelerator, Start-Up Chile. During her tenure, Paula supported over 500 founding teams, an experience which led her to build Platanus Ventures." Please enjoy!
