This week John interviews Martin, not because Martin is an expert on the subject of the Swedish healthcare system… Its mainly because Martin explains the dealings he has had with the health system over past decade. 8 years ago Martin was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, which is a form of blood cancer. Having fought off the cancer twice it has now returned for the third time. In this episode Martin is transparent about the chemotherapy treatments, two stem cell transplants plus how the doctors kept giving him opioids for pain relief, which lead to a prescription medication addiction which took nearly 12 months to beat.
