FMOOD 0319: Anatomy of a Credit Card

Follow Me Out of Debt | Get out of debt and get into prosperity! - A podcast by Tom Merlino | Tom is inviting you to follow him on his journey to get out of debt and get into prosperity.

It's time for a quick anatomy lesson. This lesson will be much different from what you might have been used to in high school or college courses. This particular lesson is focusing on the anatomy of a credit card.   What makes us desire to open a credit card to begin with? What draws us to trying and applying for credit cards, paying interest on the money that we borrow, and end up thanking the credit card companies for the opportunity? This is the mystery that I felt that I needed to solve, and I decided to do this by analyzing the anatomy of a credit card.   Of course, I'm not talking about the physical attributes of a credit card. Instead, I'm referring to the pull that credit cards seem to have on so many of us. I've overheard conversations where folks are actually bragging about a particular interest rate or a specific perk of a credit card that they own. Little do they know, in most cases, the credit cards own us - at least to some degree.   I want to make sure that while we're on this journey together that we're calling credit cards for what they truly are. We do have the ability to use credit cards in a responsible manner, but unfortunately, this type of behavior is not the norm.    This is exactly why we need to stay on top of things and not get ourselves into a mess. If we're already in a mess, then we need to realize why it's so incredibly crucial to get out of the mess as soon as possible. We will, and I know this to be true because we're going to do this together. God bless.
