47 The Unsung Hero – The Holy Spirit

Today we speak about the Holy Spirit, and how He works silently and unnoticeably to vivify the Catholic Church, and to sanctify our souls. He is the unsung hero of our salvation. The Holy Spirit builds, animates and sanctifies the Church. As some ancient writers have said, the Holy Spirit is like the soul of the Catholic Church. Besides the Holy Spirit sanctifies the individual soul, leading it to bear fruits of holiness. The Holy Spirit is the master of prayer, because He teaches us to pray as we ought (Rom 8:26).
