Shira Haas is an Israeli-born, Emmy-nominated actress who dominated our quarantine screens through her career-defining performance as Esty Shapiro in Netflix’s Unorthodox. At just 26-years-old, she’s garnered international success - but she’s no stranger to critical acclaim. She earned her first Ophir Award (Israel’s equivalent of the Academy Awards) at 19-years-old with her debut role in “Princess” - a role that she landed through a message on Facebook. And just last April, she won Best International Actress at the Tribeca Film Festival for her latest role as the lead in “Asia,” a film where she plays a young teen facing her own mortality because of an illness while also finding a connection with her mother, Asia, before it's too late. We met up in New York City to celebrate the premiere and chat about her decade long career journey, how she sees art gateway to empathy, and her best tips for becoming an actress.    Love the show?
