#34 - Jordan Fields | A Different Perspective on Training and Racing

From The Backcountry - A podcast by Will Peterson - Wednesdays

Jordan Fields is a nordic skier and mountain runner based out of the Upper Valley. He's best known in the trail running world for being the only person to hold the Hut Traverse, Pemi Loop, and Presidential Traverse records at the same time. He's also an accomplished nordic skier and a graduate student in the Department of Earth Science at Dartmouth. Jordan and I spend a lot of time in this episode discussing the philosophy of training and racing and how training/racing with joy can bring great rewards. This was a really fun conversation for me, I hope you all enjoy it too. **quick correction - in our conversation we mix up slow and fast twitch muscle fibers. Type II are fast twitch and type I are slow twitch.**Follow the podcast on Instagram @fromthebackcountry.
