In this episode Beth and Wendy dive into Jessie Dotson Jr. and the Lester Street Murders in Memphis, Tenn. He killed six members of his family - four adults and two children, and also attempted to murder two of his nephews and one niece, all in one night. STATS Jessie Dotson Jr was a mass murderer who killed his brother and his brother’s family after an argument. He had 7 victims Jesse Murdered someone in 1994, and later after a release from prison on March 2, 2008. He was arrested on March 8th His victims (speak their names): Halle Cox / His brother Cecil Dotson, 30; the brother's girlfriend Marissa Williams, 27; Hollis Seals, 33; Shindri Roberson, 22; and his two nephews Cemario Dotson, 4, and Cecil Dotson II, 2 His MO was Shooting the adults, and beating/stabbing the children Location: Memphis, TN Status: Sentenced to 18 years in prison on November 21, 1994. Released on parole on August 27, 2007. Sentenced to six death sentences on October 12, 2010. We get into the killers early life, the timeline, the investigation, and what happened after his arrest. We also get into our take aways, what we think made him snap and have a discussion about ways we can help our local communities and prevent young people in our neighborhoods from turning to the streets in our How not to get murdered segment.
