E5: Clementine Barnabet Part 2

Fruitloops: Serial Killers of Color - A podcast by EvergreenPodcasts

In part 2 of our discussion about America's first black female serial killer, Clementine Barnabet we get into her wild confession, the media coverage and her trial. Her defense attorneys claimed she was insane, but she stood trial, was found guilty of the Randall murders and she was sentenced to life at Louisiana Penitentiary at the age of 19. Clementine Barnabet was sentenced to life in prison at Angola State Penitentiary. In July of 1913, she tried to escape jail but was caught before she even made it to the gate. Despite her escape attempt, she was considered a model prisoner. She didn’t, however, serve very long. In August of 1923, Clementine Barnabet walked out of prison and was never seen or heard from again.   FOOTNOTES https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clemintine_Barnabet https://www.neatorama.com/2017/08/03/The-Voodoo-Murders-of-Clementine-Barnabet/ https://www.realcrimedaily.com/clementine-barnabet-the-dark-mystery-of-louisianas-voodoo-axe-murders/lloolll http://www.the13thfloor.tv/2017/05/30/shockingly-brutal-crimes-of-axe-murderer-clementine-barnabet/ Article including murder map http://unknownmisandry.blogspot.com/2011/09/clementine-barnabet-louisiana-serial.html About Voodoo https://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voodoo Clementine's confession: https://goo.gl/8Jdrg5 Music Abyss by Alasen: ●https://soundcloud.com/alasen ●https://twitter.com/icemantrap ●https://instagram.com/icemanbass/ ●https://soundcloud.com/therealfrozenguy Slowly Creeping and Troll Hunt by Purple Planet Music http://www.purple-planet.com Ice Flow and Furious Freak by Incompetech https://incompetech.com Connect with us on: Twitter @FruitLoopsPod Instagram https://www.instagram.com/fruitloopspod Facebook https://www.facebook.com/Fruitloopspod and https://www.facebook.com/groups/fruitloopspod Learn more about your ad choices.
