Cleve Gaddis and Larry Larson discuss proposed changes to the capital gains exclusions on home sales in the senate and house tax bills as well as proposed changes in the deductibility of mortgage interest and property taxes. Also discussed are the redevelopment plans for the Atlanta Civic Center and predictions for the 2018 real estate market. Prices will rise 3.2%, mortgage rates will average 4.6% and will end next year at 5% (currently rates are below 4%), existing home sales will grow 2.5%, housing starts will increase 3% and new home sales will increase 7%.
