(11:25) "The deeper issues that our couples come in with tend to be these same things that crop up in all of our lives. Issues with respect, issues of self-worth, issues of power and control." (12:15) "How do you coach or train your couples in improving their communication skills?" "The biggest way is we start from the inside out." (16:58) "Sex tends to be a symptom, but not THE problem." (20:30) "A lot of times when couples say they are not having sex, what we really end up talking about is how they are not really feeling seen in their relationship, but most importantly they are not able to be vulnerable with their partner in other aspects of their relationship."
