Today we start a new series as we enter into this ADVENT season. “Advent” literally means “the arrival of a notable person or thing”. So, for Christ followers, Advent is this time in the church calendar where we wait. Where we prepare our hearts in expectation for Christmas. In advent the church stands between two proclamations: “The Lord has come”, and “Come Lord Jesus”. The first grounds our confidence that the second will be answered. Over the next few weeks we are going to be looking at 3 biblical characters who were preparing for the arrival of Jesus… Mary, Joseph, and Simeon. Today Tom takes a look at the story of Joseph.
