In 1990 just months after the fall of the Ceaușescu regime in Romania – she found herself with just 48 hours to say goodbye to everything she knew, her home and family and flee to the West. Some three decades later she shares her story and pays tribute to organisations like the Red Cross who were so instrumental in helping her establish a new life in Australia.
