After witnessing the intense pain and fear sick children had to endure during hospital treatment, her own maternal instincts kicked in and she helped to revolutionise the way pain management was approached at Melbourne’s Royal Children’s Hospital, strategies that are now employed by other hospitals around the country. She is the Chair and Founder of The Hush Foundation , a not-for-profit organisation working to educate, inspire and enact positive change in healthcare through the arts.
