Everything you need to know about Sculptra
Halley Medical Aesthetics - A podcast by Halley Medical Aesthetics

In this educational podcast, Dr. Terence Tan of Halley Medical Aesthetics walks you through a quick guide of Sculptra, a collagen-stimulating dermal filler. While there are many different dermal filler brands available in the market, they are generally categorised into two types: hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers, and non-HA/collagen-stimulating fillers. Sculptra falls into the second category of collagen-stimulating fillers. Sculptra is for long-lasting volumisation and it is for people who like the concept of having the body generate collagen for volumisation. On the other hand, people who want results very fast and who need very precise volumisation would opt for HA fillers and let the filler do the lifting. However, both are natural in that HA is found in skin while Sculptra generates collagen to volumise. For patients who have done a Sculptra treatment, be sure to watch Dr. Terence Tan’s demonstration of this post-treatment massage technique in this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SHfw9YS0jWI), in which Dr. Terence Tan also shares the post-treatment care, which is unique to Sculptra. Patients should do a gentle massage over the treated area for 5 mins, five times a day, over 5 days. This is an important part of the Sculptra treatment, as it helps to improve collagen stimulation and encourage a more even volumisation. Interested in finding out if Sculptra is suitable for you?
