Its a fact that for some (or many) the office is now a remote location. What are the technology strategy implications for this transition ? Some major companies (eg Ford) have announced plans to continue WFH for the foreseeable future, and plan to shut down offices and otherwise restructure companies to be increasingly virtual. Executives at other companies are firmly wedded to “returning to the office” (RTTO) and want to view Covid-19 as a temporary disruption. a. Which view do we think is correct? b. Regardless of who is right, given that there’s no way to fully predict the future, what are the key things technology architects should be doing TODAY to make sure their infrastructure can adapt to the whims of the C-suite?
