Equinox 2024 is our happy new year

Happy new year and yes, it is the new year because today is the spring equinox, when the sun moves into the sign of Aries and that is the beginning of a new solar cycle and a new year. This equinox is especially powerful because of some unusual aspets that I will be addressing in this article and it is the first equinox that we have had without Pluto in Capricorn since March 2008. The spring equinox is a time of beginnings, new growth, replenishment, revitalization, and resurgence. It’s also a time that gardeners start assessing their garden plots for planting and thinning. This year I will be thinning out cannas, irises, sedum, and the dreaded and dreadful liriope. What are you plans for the new year?
