Mac Mall with a live band at Yoshi's Oakland, August 10th - tickets: https://yoshis.com/events/buy-tickets/mac-mall/detailMac Mall is a Bay Area legend who recorded his debut album "Illegal Business?" at just 15 years old. Growing up in Vallejo's infamous Crestside neighborhood, he is a cousin of E-40 and the third generation successor to The Mac and Mac Dre. Produced by musical pioneer Khayree, Mall's music video for "Ghetto Theme" was directed by 2pac. Launched into local superstardom, he had to navigate hood politics, fame, and the temptations of street hustling to ultimately find his way and establish his rap career. After 30 years as a successful touring artist and published author, Mall is continuing to work on creative projects and preserve Vallejo's rap legacy.--For promo opportunities on the podcast, e-mail [email protected] of the Bay Spotify Playlist: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3ZUM4rCv6xfNbvB4r8TVWU?si=9218659b5f4b43aaOnline Store: https://dregsone.myshopify.com Follow Dregs One:Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/1UNuCcJlRb8ImMc5haZHXF?si=poJT0BYUS-qCfpEzAX7mlAInstagram: https://instagram.com/dregs_oneTikTok: https://tiktok.com/@dregs_oneTwitter: https://twitter.com/dregs_oneFacebook: https://facebook.com/dregsone41500:00 Live band show at Yoshi’s04:51 Family history in Vallejo09:59 Crestside 15:10 The Mac18:16 Young Mac Dre24:12 Neighborhood Funk28:20 Bank robberies32:46 Illegal Business?39:24 Working with Khayree 43:10 90s Bay Area rap47:28 2pac1:07:28 Black C, San Quinn1:08:58 Untouchable1:20:37 Dusted N Disgusted1:26:59 The Compilation1:31:38 Mac Stabber1:40:18 Wide Open1:43:13 Pimp Game1:51:24 Beware of Those; SF1:54:25 Thizz; Da US Open2:02:26 Kansas City2:09:41 Carrying on the legacy2:18:02 New projects2:21:21 The Misfits
