5300 years ago, high up in the Otztal Alps in northern Italy..., the remains of a man were found. He was shot in the back with an arrow that struck a main artery. There, he likely bled to death in the extremely cold temperatures. His body froze and over time was preserved in ice, where he remained for thousands of years until his body was discovered in 1991.
